Welcome to Contlog Container Logistics GmbH

It happened in April 1956 as the first container cargo ship – the “Ideal X” – left Port Newark with 58 containers to Houston. The founding father of containerization is Malcom P. McLean – founder of the shipping company Sea-Land Inc.

On the 6^th of May 1966 the first container from the cargo ship “Fairland” was set down in Bremen, Germany.

26 years later our company, Contlog Container Logistics GmbH was founded and carried its first container from Hamburg to Vienna in summer 1992. Ever since we were focusing on what we do best: national and international container handling. Our modern truck fleet, we have expanded from an initial number of 5 to over 30 trucks with container chassis of all sizes and types of use - including also temperature – controlled shipments and handlings.
